About Us: Physical TherapyThe physical therapists at Orthopaedic Associates are committed to the effective treatment of the spine and musculoskeletal system. The physical therapist philosophy of individualized, conservative treatment results in appropriate individualized treatment plans with high quality outcomes.
Physical therapy for the spine patient includes an array of various proven techniques. Each patient will be individually assessed and treated based on his or her specific needs with regard to postoperative precautions and/or contraindications when appropriate.
Goals include improving quality of life by returning the patient to performing functional activities which are meaningful to the patient. Such techniques include the use of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise specifically designed for the needs of the patient.
The physical therapists at Orthopaedic Associates also use skilled techniques and modalities to assist in reducing inflammation and swelling in painful joints and tissues in order to restore daily lifestyle and routine. Patients will be educated in postural awareness for ergonomic and home benefit. Each patient receives an individualized home exercise program and education in how to self manage if future flare ups occur.
